Product Description
The fun part of playing with designs for an Aran sweater is all the cables and textured patterns available to experiment with. This long sleeve cabled sweater is perfect for fall and winter and will look great in any color. The knitting goes quickly in a worsted weight (medium #4) yarn on size US 8 (5 mm) needles.
The body is worked in the round with a cable panel centered on both the front and back, with garter rib on either side. After dividing for the armholes, the front and back are worked separately. German short-rows shape the shoulders, that are then joined using a Norwegian-inspired two-needle bind-off (detailed instructions are included). The sleeves are worked in the round from the cuff up in garter rib.
