Highoak Hat

What is Being Made: A fitted adult-sized knit hat with a classic crown shaping, designed to fit an average women's head with an approximate circumference of 51cm (20 inches). The hat combines a ribbed cuff with garter stitch body and a tapered crown.

Techniques Used: The Highoak hat employs fundamental knitting techniques including ribbed edging for stretch and structure, garter stitch for the main body, and progressive decreasing to shape the crown. The crown shaping uses repeated knit-two-together decreases worked in a systematic pattern across multiple rows to create a smooth, fitted finish.

Isle Cabled Scarf

What is Being Made: A long, rectangular cabled scarf featuring a prominent middle cable panel as the focal point. The scarf measures approximately 200cm in length, making it a substantial accessory suitable for layering or wrapping.

Techniques Used: The Isle scarf showcases cable knitting, one of the most visually striking techniques in knitting. Cables are created by crossing groups of stitches over one another using a cable needle, producing twisted, rope-like textures. The pattern features two distinct cable crosses—C4B (cable four back) and C4F (cable four front)—which are worked in alternating rows to create a symmetrical, interlocking cable design.
