This yarn is fantastic. I craft primarily for my Prayer Shawl Ministry and usually make shawls with Lionbrand Homespun. I will now be exclusively using this Marble Chunky. The size is great for quick finish projects and the length is almost twice a standard bulky skein. The yarn is very soft with a slight halo but knits and crochets up beautifully. The best thing is that you can do detailed crocheted patterns by using the eyes of the stitches and not just the holes between. I was unable to do this with LB Homespun. I would recommend this to anyone wanting beautifully striped items that are soft to the touch and very comfortable to wear and easy to care for.

I loved the color of the James C. Brett Marble Chunky; I got the Summer Green. It had a very subtle color play of different shades of green. I had planned to make a shawl that would go with lots of my wardrobe.

Unfortunately, I found it to be somewhat coarse. This may have been improved by washing and drying; I don't know. But I found it to also be very splitty. The problem got so bad that I don't think I will be able to knit with it. And it's a real shame, because I really loved the color (not to mention lots of the other Marble Chunky colors). I just wasn't able to work with it.

I used Marble Chunky to make an afghan. I originally purchased the yarn from a yarn store near me, but saw that they did not give me enough. The yarn WEBs sent me matched perfectly.

The colors are lively without being garish. The hand is very soft for an acrylic. The color repeats are very nice for shawls 70 sts wide on 13 needles. Two balls make a generously sized shawl

                    Comments about 14.99 Marble Chunky:

I used this yarn to make a shawl for charity. In my opinion, it is not quite weighty enough to call itself chunky. The colors were pleasing, and the various shades morphed into each other smoothly. Color change intervals were perfect for the pattern I was using, resulting in a variable width striping effect. However, there were multiple "fuzzy" places where the yarn was spliced together, and in one skein there was a long (yard or more) section where the outside wrap yarn color was completely separate from the core yarn. So annoying!

I got the wild idea to knit scarves for all of my out of state family members for Christmas. I chose Marble Chunky for 9 of the 13 scarves. I love the color choices, the yarn is easy to work with and the yardage is such that one ball will make a very long scarf plus fringe.

I've wanted to try this yarn for quite some time as I've drooled over the the variations of color and I finally decided to give it a try choosing what reminded me of the beach. I decided the weight of the yarn was more worsted rather than chunky and changed my piece to a lighter weight, fluffy shawl, instead. I did like the way it worked up although there was one very long slub I had to cut out and some unexpected knots. I do like the yarn enough to give it another try, however, and would recommend to a friend with this caveat.
