What Is Being Made

The Kara Slipover is a knitted pullover garment designed as part of the Winter Breeze Collection. Techniques Used

The Kara Slipover employs several key knitting techniques to achieve its finished design. Cable work is central to the garment, with a C8F (cable 8 front) stitch that is twisted on row 9 and then repeated every 18th row throughout the pattern. Increases are worked using both M1K (make 1 knitwise) and M1P (make 1 purlwise) methods, which are strategically placed at the side edges on every row to shape the garment. The pattern is worked in two-color stranded knitting, with colors being set and maintained throughout the piece to create visual interest alongside the cable texture. The garment is constructed by knitting the front and back pieces separately before seaming.

Materials and Tools

The Kara Slipover is knitted using Juniper Moon Farm Herriot yarn in two colorways.
