Scarf Design and Construction

The scarf measures 7½ inches wide by 72½ inches long (19 x 184 centimeters), making it a versatile length suitable for various styling options. The scarf is worked flat from the bottom up, beginning with a cast-on of 34 stitches. The construction employs a 2x2 Ribbed stitch pattern as the foundation, which creates vertical texture and natural elasticity.

The scarf features an intricate striping technique that evolves throughout the piece. The pattern works through a series of color transitions using two colors from Juniper Moon Farm Mallow yarn: Raven (color 101) and Graphite (color 102).
