The Lana Grossa 12 Pullover in Diversa is a knitted sweater designed in a classic pullover style, available in three sizes: 36/38, 40/42, and 44. This garment features a sophisticated color-striped construction that showcases the versatility of the Lana Grossa Diversa yarn through a carefully planned color sequence.
This pullover is constructed using several key knitting techniques:
The pullover employs fundamental knitting stitches executed with precision:
The Lana Grossa 12 Pullover in Diversa is crafted from Lana Grossa Diversa yarn, a premium blend composed of 74% cotton and 26% viscose. This fiber composition creates a breathable, lustrous fabric with excellent drape and a subtle sheen characteristic of viscose blends. The yarn provides 210 meters per 50-gram ball, offering good yardage for efficient project completion.
The color palette includes ten distinct shades from the Lana Grossa Diversa range: Grey Blue (col 8), Mint (col 9), Grey Green (col 10), Yellow Green (col 11), Curry (col 12), Light Yellow (col 13), Linen (col 6), Rosewood (col 5), Terracotta (col 4), and Berry (col 3), plus Pink Beige (col 2). This extensive color selection allows for creative striping sequences and personalization.
The pattern requires size 3 mm straight needles for the ribbed cuff sections and size 3.5 mm straight needles for the main body and sleeves. Additionally, a size 3 mm circular needle measuring 40 centimeters in length is needed for working certain sections in the round, particularly for neckline shaping and finishing.
The back and front panels are worked separately from the cast-on edge upward, with the back piece measuring approximately 49 to 51 centimeters in length depending on size. The front follows the same construction until the neckline shaping begins, where stitches are bound off in a graduated sequence to create a comfortable neck opening.
Sleeves are cast on with 62 stitches and feature a 3-centimeter ribbed cuff for elasticity. Sleeve shaping is achieved through strategic increases worked at regular intervals—beginning at the 11th or 9th row depending on size, then continuing every 10th row and every 8th row with variations by size—ultimately reaching 88 to 96 stitches. Sleeves measure 46 centimeters from cast-on to bind-off.
The finishing process includes pinning all pieces to measurements for blocking, which helps even out the fabric and set
