Techniques Used

This scarf employs several fundamental knitting techniques to achieve its refined aesthetic. The bottom-up construction begins with casting on stitches and working upward in rows. The lace technique is central to the design, incorporating strategic yarn overs and decreases that create openwork motifs throughout the fabric. The scarf is worked flat on straight needles, meaning each row is worked back and forth rather than in the round, with the right side and wrong side rows requiring different approaches.
