What is Being Made

This is a ladies' size knit hat designed to be worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up. Techniques Used

Stitches Used

Materials

The hat is knitted with LANGYARNS CLOUD, a premium yarn composed of virgin wool (merino extrafine), nylon, and treated for superwash and mulesing-free processing. One 100-gram ball is required. The primary colorway shown is chestnut-petrol (1077.0012), with additional color options available: violet-green-blue (1077.0009), violet-orange-green (1077.0010), and blue-turquoise (1077.0011).

Two ADDI short circular knitting needles are needed: US 8 (5mm) for the ribbed cuff and US 10 (6mm) for the stockinette body. A pompom card is used to create the approximately 4-inch (10 cm) diameter pompom that crowns the hat.

Gauge and Sizing

The pattern is worked to a gauge of 14 stitches and 21 rounds over 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch on US 10 (6mm) needles. The finished hat measures approximately 8¼ inches (21 cm) from the cast-on edge to the base of the crown shaping, with a 3¼-inch (8 cm) turned-up border at the brim.

Construction Summary

Beginning with 88 stitches cast on with US 8 (5mm) needles, the knitter works 4 inches of K2:P2 ribbing in the round.
