    Comments about LECLERC Styrene Spools:

I use these spools when spinning yarn. After spinning a full (jumbo-sized) bobbin of yarn, I offload my singles onto these storage spools using a 6.5 mm quill attached to my wheel. The capacity is great. I can spin 8 oz of fiber, then wind the singles off onto 2 (or more, if I choose) of these spools. From there, I can ply from the singles on the spools (but there is no groove for tensioning the spools on the Lazy Kate). This is *much* more economical than using multiple wheel bobbins for storage or plying. They are lightweight and easily transportable, making them perfect for travel and for taking along to workshops and classes. The product is fairly priced, vis-a-vis the market. I use these spools over and over and will definitely buy more of them so that I can have even more spinning projects going at one time.

    Service and delivery comments:

Before ordering these spools, I called customer service. I wasn't sure of the inside diameter of the spool and wanted to know whether it was the same as the 4" styrene bobbins. I knew that the 4" bobbins fit on my quill and wanted to be sure that the spools would also fit. The customer service representative was very pleasant. She understood the reason for my inquiry and took the time to personally measure the diameter of both the bobbins and the spools to make sure that they were the same size and that the spools would work well for me. My order was processed quickly and arrived in a timely manner. It was well packaged and in excellent condition. Overall, this was pleasurable transaction and I would (and have) recommend both this product and this vendor to fellow fiber artists.
