Children’s sizes: 2 (4, 6, 8, 10, 12) Yarn: Bulky or Chunky weight yarn, with a recommended gauge of 3 sts/inch) 300 (350, 420, 500, 590, 690) yarns. Sample shown in Periwinkle Sheep Merino Chunky (discontinued).
Needles: US 11 (8mm) 16” and 20” circulars. 1 set of us 11 (8mm) dpns
Notions: 4 stitch markers (1 that stands out for beginning of round, blunt needle for weaving in ends, scrap yarn
Gauge: 12 sts and 24 rnds = 4” in garter stitch
Notes: Sweater is knit from the top down with round yoke shaping in the ribbed yoke, followed by raglan shaping. Switch to longer needle when you can no longer work comfortably on shorter needle.
