Product Description
A happy and very fun shawl to knit, just in time for Autumn. It begins at the top and forms a crescent shape, ending with garter st and an i-cord bindoff. Only 1 color yarn is used at a time. Contrast yarn is carried up the side where it blends into the edge of the shawl.
As with the Dot Shawl, my aim was to use variegated yarns in a different way that shows off their beautiful colors without overwhelming the design.
Amounts in parentheses are for full sized shawl, lesser amounts are for shawlette.
Pattern Requirements
1 US 6 (4mm) and 1 US 4 or 5 circular needle (for the garter st) 24” or longer (circular needle just to contain number of stitches - it is not done in the round.)
Base color: 400 (650) yards of Miss Babs Yummy 2 ply (or other fingering/sock yarn.) Loops: 150 (200) yards Miss Babs Yummy 2ply (or other contrasting fingering/sock yarn.)
Shown here in Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply in Slate (base) and Perfectly Wreckless (loops.)
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
