mellow sun is a triangular shawl worked flat from the top down. Knitting starts from a Garter Tab Cast On, followed by a few relaxing rows in Stockinette stitch. The following Lacy Lattice Pattern, some bobbles, the 3x1 Rib and the Picot Bind Off make this a fun and entertaining knit… a versatile companion for colder days.

Gauge 11 sts x 19 rows = 4 x 4” (10 x 10 cm) in Stockinette stitch on US 10½ (6.5 mm) needles after blocking. 11 sts x 20 rows = 4 x 4” (10 x 10 cm) in Lacy Lattice Pattern on US 10½ (6.5 mm) needles after blocking. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect yardage and final size when different.
