We've put together 2 different shade palettes for this project: a traditional red and white, and an alternative ice blue and white. Traditional palette: For knitters who desire the traditional red and white shade palette to match the Nordic style and design, you would use Scarlet (140) and Snow (124). For the striped stocking, you will need 1 ball of Scarlet, and 2 of Snow. For the cabled stocking, you will need 3 balls of Scarlet; for the Fair Isle nordic star stocking, you will need 2 balls of Scarlet and 1 ball of Snow. Alternative palette: If you love the contemporary look of ice blues and greys, you'll love the Forget Me Not (120) and Snow (124) shade palette. For the cabled stocking, you'll need 3 balls of Snow; for the Fair Isle star stocking, you'll need 2 balls of Forget Me Not and 1 ball of Snow.
