Craft and Construction Method

This is a knitting project worked using the bottom-up, seamed construction method. The garment is worked flat on straight needles rather than in the round, with pieces subsequently seamed together. This approach allows for easier management of the complex colourwork and stitch pattern changes throughout the design.

Techniques and Stitch Work

The Katis Jumper showcases stranded colourwork as a primary design feature, where multiple yarn colors are carried across rows to create intricate patterns. The pattern incorporates several specialized cable stitches that add textural interest:
