MillaMia Naturally Soft Merino

This yarn is very soft and has a nice squishy texture thanks to the multi-plied construction. It worked up beautifully in both stockinette and a textured lace stitch, with very little to no splitting even with my pointy Chiaogoo needles. I can confirm it can be washed in the machine on a cold, delicate cycle. When blocking, the purple color "berry" bled a bit of dye, but it did not affect the lighter "plum" pink color that I used with it. Overall, a very nice yarn. I do wish they offered some...

Last summer I saw a baby sweater online. The pattern was Calla, the yarn was MillaMia Naturally soft Merino. I loved the sweater, couldn’t get it out of my mind. In November I bought the pattern, but couldn’t find the yarn. So I knit the sweater with a different yarn (Berroco UltraWool DK). It’s beautiful, but I still wanted the MillaMia yarn. Went online & bought it. Knit another sweater…great yarn, great pattern. I’m an intermediate knitter.

This is a gorgeous yarn for making baby sweaters and blankets. Excellent stitch definition, and sturdy yet soft. The colors are clear and sharp and unusual, which I appreciate. Soft enough for a picky toddler, and very easy to work with. I found it had a flexible gauge, so I could play with different pattern sizes. For me that is a bonus, but another knitter might want to check the gauge carefully before beginning a big project. I love it.

Extremely soft yarn with fantastic stitch definition. The colors are bright and saturated. The perfect yarn for close-to-the-skin knits. Colorwork also works up beautifully.

Lovely yarn to work with. Result was a beautiful baby blanket for my grandson.
