Learn the art of mitten knitting with this step by step guide. With your favorite yarn, hand measurements and this simple pattern, you'll knit a mitten that fits.
Yarn: You may use any weight yarn with this pattern. Worsted and bulky weight yarns make dense, warm mittens. For lighter weight or liner mittens, try a fingering or sport weight.
Recommended amounts of yarn:
Child, age 1-5: 50 grams
Child, age 6-10: 80 grams
Teens - Women: 100 grams
Men: 150 grams
Needles: one set double pointed needles in size appropriate for your yarn, and one set two sizes smaller for the ribbing.
Other Materials: stitch markers, tapestry needle, stitch holder
Gauge: dependent on your yarn choice.
