Product Details

This is a step by step guide through the process of making socks on double pointed needles. This pattern answers a few sock questions; like, "What do I do if I have a wide foot?" Or, "My baby needs a pair of warm socks - what size should I make?" Or, "I have left-over yarn and it doesn't match the pattern - how many do I cast on?" Using a simple formula and your favorite yarn you can make a pair of lovely socks that will fit.

Yarn: a multi-plied machine washable yarn should be used. You may choose the weight of yarn that best fits your needs (i.e. fingering weight for lightweight socks, worsted weight for boot socks, etc).
Recommended amount of yarn:
      Child/Woman ankle length: 100 grams
Men's size or calf length: 150 grams
Needles: one set double pointed needles in size appropriate for your yarn choice; one set double pointed needles in one size smaller
Other Materials: reinforcing thread (or thin yarn), tapestry needle
