Product Description
Noro Veronika Cowl is a perfect cozy winter layering accessory knit in a variety of Noro Yarn. The cowl is knit flat in one piece from end to end and then seamed. It can’t get any easier; you just need to pick the stitch pattern and the yarn. The stitch patterns are in written form only.

Materials: This version uses 2 hanks of 100g Noro Madara yarn in colorway #08, worked on US 6/4mm knitting needles.
Gauge: 16 stitches and 23 rows per 4 inches on US 6/4mm needles.
Construction: Cast on 66 stitches and work in K2, P2 rib (knit 2 stitches, purl 2 stitches) until the piece reaches 36 inches in length. Bind off all stitches. The completed strip is then folded so the end meets the side edge, creating the cowl shape, and sewn in place using a seaming technique.
Cowl Variation Two: Garter Ridge and Slip-Stitch Rib
The second variation combines two distinct stitch techniques: a garter ridge pattern and a slip-stitch rib. These textured stitches create visual interest and dimensional depth in the finished cowl.
Garter Ridge Rib Materials: 1 ball of 200g Noro Tsubame in colorway #08, worked on US 6/4mm knitting needles. Gauge is 17 stitches and 28 rows per 4 inches.
Garter Ridge Rib Construction: Cast on 69 stitches. Row 1 (right side) begins with K1, then repeats *p1, k2 from * to the last 2 stitches, ending with p1, k1. Row 2 (wrong side) knits 2 stitches, then repeats *p2, k1 from * to the last stitch, ending with k1. Row 3 repeats Row 1. Row 4 (wrong side) knits all stitches. Repeat Rows 1 through 4 until the piece measures 36 inches in length, then bind off.
Slip-Stitch Rib Materials: 2 hanks of 100g Noro Miyabi in colorway #08, worked on US 7/4.5mm knitting needles. Gauge is 18 stitches and 22 rows per 4 inches.
Slip-Stitch Rib Construction: Cast on 72 stitches. Row 1 (wrong side) knits 2 stitches, then repeats *p3, k2 from * to the end. Row 2 (right side) purls 2 stitches, then repeats *k1, slip 1 with yarn in back, k1, p2 from * to the end. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the piece reaches 36 inches in length, then bind off.
