Rikka is a bulky blend of Noro's signature coriedale/merino wool base combined with softest Peruvian alpaca & undyed mulberry silk, which highlights the finished fabric with touches of white like snow on the mountains of Japan. Put up in a dragon egg ball, one ball can yield a small scarf or cowl as the colors unfold across your needles/hooks. Rikka in Japanese translates roughly to "snow crystal as beautiful as a flower in winter

I love the gorgeous colors of this yarn and the natural fibres that it's made of. It has very little "twist", almost like a roving, and has uneven thin and thicker slubbs in places. It was very expensive for one ball and at 320 meters I will be making small projects. Probably will not buy it again but only because of the price. Otherwise a very beautiful yarn.
