Product Description
I very much love folklore elements and colors, but interpreted in a modern fashion as a deep bow to the master of colorful patterned fabrics Dries van Noten :)
The sweater is worked seamlessly in rounds in one piece from the top-down. After the collar is worked, the colorwork-yoke is shaped by increases for body and sleeves and additional radial increases up to the sleeve separation. Colourwork is a mix of slipped stitches and stranded knitting. The body features some side-pleats at the bust. After the body is completed with color blocks, the previously retired sleeve stitches are placed back on the needles to be worked top-down in the round.
Shown in La Fee Fil Merino fingering, 4-ply (100% wool), 400m (437yds)/100g
Unfortunately the original yarn was discontinued just a few weeks after I bought it at Berlin Knits 2017. But you can substitute it with many 4-ply fingering weight (sock) yarns with the same yardage.
