Product Description
Open front cardi with pretty shawl collar, lightly-gathered bodice, yokes in front and back. Sweater can be made in cropped, mid- and tunic length versions, and sleeves can be optionally short, three-quarter length or long. Long-sleeved tunic length version shown in size 36 worn with 1" ease; short-sleeved cropped version in size 36 with 0 ease.
Cardigan is worked in one piece from the top down in a modular fashion.
Skills needed: Pick up and knit (and purl for a brief distance), short rows for the shoulders. A video tutorial for the technique used here may be viewed at sundayknits.com/techniques.
Gauge: 24 sts and 32 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch.
**Yarn: **Substitute any sport weight yarn that works nicely to gauge; yarn used has 225 m per 50-gm skein. ("Nirvana 3 ply" is so named because of the triple-plied construction of the yarn. The word "ply" as used here does not refer to its plumpness or gauge.)
Pattern includes: Written instructions, schematic, glossary.
