Economical and Works Up Nicely
I really enjoyed working with Paintbox Cotton Aran Yarn. It is economical and works up nicely! I also really like Paintbox Cotton DK for knitting dishcloths that aren't too heavy.

I work mostly on garments and with Tunisian crochet stitches, and this yarn is a perfect accompaniment to the way I like to work and what I like to make. It's substantial without being heavy or stiff, and makes for really lovely, true to size garments, in a range of beautiful colors. It's got a sheen to it and a softness that is dreamy. Paintbox really knocks it out of the park for me when it comes to cotton yarn.

Great product. I only wish there were more yards per skein. I got an assortment of colors to try, and I like them all. The cotton feels comfortable and it has the right balance between stretch and stability.

The Paintbox Cotton Aran has a lighter feel to it than the DK weight, but is just as substantial. Good flex and drape, not too stiff, not too slippery, and works up beautifully without major splitting or fraying. Absolutely recommend.

I’ve been using paintbox yarns for years! This most recent purchase was to Tunisian crochet a bathroom rug; it’s not meant to be thick, just something I can step onto after showering. I used paintbox because it’s cotton and I wanted to have the water absorb not just sit on the rug like it would with acrylic yarn. Paintbox doesn’t unwind as you crochet, it doesn’t have knots along the way (that I’ve experienced) and it’s always been consistent with the color.

I got a pile of skeins for 3 baby blankets, and both the texture and vibrancy of the dye lot are superb! Soft, yet keeps warm, knits beautifully on US7s, and a wide solid color palette to choose from; I hope heathered/multicolored versions come out in the future.

Nice quality yarn. The colors are beautiful and, considering it’s all cotton, not too splitty.
