Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK Yarn

I wanted yarn to make sweaters for my granddaughters. It had to be soft and easy care, with a good color range. Paintbox was recommended by a fellow crafter. The yarn is soft as expected. My gauge swatch washed up nicely and felt very good against my skin. I have not found this yarn hard on my hands to knit at all. I’m working on the smallest sweater first, so I honestly don’t know yet. I think I bought enough, but if I need I will order another skein or two. They will have matching sweaters,...

One of the best yarns I've worked with to date. The yarn has substance to it, but isn't slippery on my hook or too stiff, which makes it come together beautifully when doing Tunisian crochet. The colorways are gorgeous and consistently dyed, all in all, my favorite cotton yarn, especially for the price point.

I'm crocheting a temperature throw blanket and I am absolutely in love with this yarn. The colors are ***exquisite*** and the yarn is an absolute joy to work with...it just feels so good in my hands. The DK weight is just perfect for a summer throw. I plan to do a lot with this yarn....it's just so versatile....and I will have leftovers from my temperature blanket, so I may look at placemats, or a little girl's sundress....or just buy more to make a bigger blanket! This is my first time knitting with cotton yarn, and I’m surprised to find how much I really love it. I expected it to feel like a washrag. The fabric it creates is much softer and more supple than I had anticipated. The colors are beautifully saturated and the arm gives good stitch definition. Can’t wait to wear the tank top I’m knitting.

I'm using it for knitting a vest. A friend who’s worked with it recommended it because it’s quite soft for cotton yarn, but easy to care for—particularly machine washable. It’s been easy to work with so far overall. On some of the balls, the outer tail is tangled with the center pull, which takes a little finessing but the yarn is nice to work with. The stitch definition is excellent, and the color changes are smooth.

I love cotton yarn. This yarn doesn’t split. I use it for many different projects, including baby blankets, origami, market bags, ladies tops, and baby toys. Shaping and stuffing was so easy. All of my projects turn out spectacular. The yarn is very versatile.

Paintbox Cotton DK is a really versatile, easy to work with yarn. I'd go so far as to call it beginner friendly when it comes to cotton, as it's not too stiff, not too slippery, and works up very evenly. The colorways are gorgeous, and though there is not a lot of stretch or flex to this yarn, given it's cotton, it creates beautiful garments that feel nice and wear beautifully.

This is a really nice cotton yarn. I'm crocheting a temperature blanket with it... The choice of colors for this yarn is just fabulous and the DK weight will make a pleasant summer blanket. I didn't like knitting with it, but that's true for almost every cotton yarn I've ever tried.... But it crochets sooooo beautifully!!!

I use it for inkle weaving and love the colors and how it weaves in the inkle.
