I'm using it to make a half circle shawl. This is the second skein I've used to make this pattern, and it's just the right amount for a shawl for a person confined to a bed or a wheelchair, or for a healthy person like me to throw around my shoulders any time. I love the color changes on their own.

The only sock yarn I've ever had that knits an entire sock with no repeat of pattern. Each skein starts in the same place so the pair matches! Love it!

I'm new to knitting, so I wanted a yarn that would look like I knew more than I do. ;) Having the yarn create a beautiful pattern for me is incredible. I don't have to color change and that allows me to just enjoy the act of knitting. I highly recommend. Great for beginners too.
Great colors and feel for sock yarn
I like the very fun colors. I'm using it for socks, and it is really nice to work with. I have made lots of socks from many different yarns. Paintbox seems to be tightly woven enough to wear well and feels nice to the touch. Those are what I look for in a sock yarn. Now to see how it wears!

Great texture for sock making
I like the great texture and stitch definition. I made socks.
Love the colors
Knit one pair but if you are doing two at a time the pattern reverses if you are author’s end of the yarn. The kids think that is cool.
