I have been searching for a pattern that would complement the 100% wool navy yarn given to me that is a weight close to, but not quite, aran and I found it with this Basic Stitch Kimono! A couple of stitch gauge samples later, I know that this pattern is perfect and I will achieve the "organic" look I am aiming for. This is a reciprocal project: the pattern brings out the beauty of the yarn and the yarn enhances the structure and design of the pattern. The pattern is very easy to follow and I am very pleased with how the kimono is evolving.
