A beautiful soft fluffy angora

I primarily use this angora in Christmas stockings which I make to order - Santa's beard and eyebrows really stand out with this yarn.

I was knitting Santa's beard on a Christmas stocking and it was too thin. I couldn't double it as I was knitting from both ends. Later, when I could double it, it looked a lot better. What I had previously was A.C.A Supreme 100% pure Angora and Fox Brand Superchoice French Angora both made in France-much nicer.

I wish I had realized that Angora would shed the way it did. I am making a scarf and it will shed all over my winter coat. It gets all over my clothes while knitting.

I reproduced a knitted Christmas stocking that my grandmother made for my first Christmas. The new Christmas stocking is for my newest great-niece. The white angora is a knitted Christmas tree inserted into the face of the dark green stocking.

              Comments about 7.99 Angora:

This is great quality yarn, but I disagree with the classification as worsted yarn. I have used this yarn many times in intarsia Christmas stockings with other worsted weight yarn, and it needs to be doubled to work well with other worsted weight yarns.

I used this to make a hat for my sister. She wanted something white that wouldn't be tight. This fit the bill perfectly. I keep fantasizing about what else to make from it. It has a lovely halo. As expected with angora, it does shed some.
