Product Details
Ready or Knot is a nearly seamless cardigan worked from the top-down. The knotted upper collar adds a twist to the open style and makes the raglan construction appear to be more of a set-in sleeve. A provisional cast on is used to add stitches below the knot—these stitches are picked up once the bodice is complete, the knotted collar is worked from them, and then sewn into place along the upper neckline. Note that the pattern does not include a tutorial for the provisional cast on itself. The pattern includes instructions for both a short-sleeved, hip-length sweater as well as a ¾-sleeved, tunic length garment. Both are intended to be worn with 0-2” of positive ease at the bust, though the cardigan can easily be worn open with a bit of negative ease as well. Zero-to-positive ease will allow the wearer to pin the garment closed, if desired. Yarn choice will affect the final fabric. The shorter version (grey) was knit in a merino-cashmere-nylon fingering weight yar
