Product Description
This clever piece can be called either a shawlette or a scarf. It’s long enough to be comfortably wrapped around the neck but at the same time, has an interesting shape and is fun to make. You can use either two colors as the pattern sample or get creative and add even more.
YARN: The sample is made in Mrs. Crosby Hat Box (317 yds / 290 m per 100 g skein, 75% superwash merino wool, 15% silk, 10% cashmere). If you'd like to substitute yarn, you'll need Sport weight yarn, approximately: 270 yds / 250 m C1 (color 1) and 245 yds / 225 m C2 (color 2).
NEEDLES & NOTIONS: size 6 US / 4 mm circular needle, row counter, tapestry needle to weave in the yarn ends.
GAUGE: 20 sts and 44 rows in Garter stitch = 4” / 10 cm. Gauge is not crucial for this project but will affect the amount of yarn used and the final size of the shawl.
