Rowan Mist from The Felted Tweed Colours Collection is a stunning women’s textured moss stitch cardigan designed by Kim Hargreaves. The sweater features a single button closure at the collar, long set-in sleeves. The shaping is exceptional in that the left front is intentionally longer than the back, and the right front is purposely short to accomplish a thrown-together asymmetric finish to the garment once buttoned. Rowan Felted Tweed has been a classic go-to yarn for many years, with its tweedy blend of Merino wool, alpaca, and viscose that works up beautifully and comes in an impressive color palette. Rowan took colors curated by Kaffe Fasset and created Rowan Felted Tweed Colour just when we thought it couldn't get any better.

Techniques Used
This cardigan employs several intermediate knitting techniques that add visual interest and texture to the finished garment. Moss stitch (also called rice stitch in French patterns) forms the primary fabric structure throughout the piece, creating a dense, textured surface. The pattern incorporates short-row shaping techniques, particularly evident in the shoulder and armhole areas, where stitches are wrapped and turned to create gradual shaping without the need for complex decreases. This method allows for smooth, tailored shoulders and a well-fitted armhole. Materials
The Rowan Mist is knitted using Rowan Felted Tweed Colour yarn in 50-gram balls. The pattern photograph features the colorway Amethyst 026. Knitting is worked on size 3¾ (3.25 mm) needles. The cardigan is finished with two buttons: one larger 2.4 cm brass relief button for the external closure and one smaller 1.5 cm plastic button for internal fastening, ensuring secure and neat closure at the front opening.
