What is Being Made

The sweater features a classic construction with shaped shoulders, a crew neckline with a neckband, and tailored front and back pieces.

Techniques Used

This knitting project employs several essential garment construction techniques. Seamless shaping is used throughout, with strategic decreases at the neck edges to create a fitted neckline. Shoulder shaping is achieved through cast-off decreases worked at the beginning of rows, creating angled shoulders that sit properly on the body. Two needle sizes are required: 3¼mm (US 3) needles for the cast-on and ribbed sections, and 3¾mm (US 5) needles for the main body knitting.
