Knitting Techniques

This intermediate-level cardigan employs several key knitting techniques to create its distinctive design. The front opening edges feature an 8-row lace border pattern that creates a decorative detail while maintaining structural integrity. The pattern incorporates yarn forward increases and knit two together decreases to shape the garment and create the lace motif. Stitch markers are used strategically throughout construction to separate the lace border pattern from the main body, ensuring accurate stitch placement and pattern alignment.
