Product Details

Kidsilk Haze combines the soft halo of super kid mohair with the vibrant shine of silk in one incredible yarn. Both fibres dye spectacularly but differently, which lends a subtle, tonal quality to its extensive, kaleidoscopic colour palette. This versatile yarn adapts effortlessly to different needles sizes and when used alongside other yarns such as Felted Tweed and Fine Lace it takes on an almost magical quality. Loved by knitters the world over, Kidsilk Haze brings out the beauty in every stitch, making patterns truly shine.

Soft, light, airy Kidsilk Haze is available in a dazzling array of colors. Work with one strand, or double, or even triple it up: Kidsilk Haze is a beautiful and versatile yarn that can be knit or crocheted into a variety of fabrics, from fabulous openwork lace shawls to elegant tops, to tightly worked, fuzzy sweaters. Holding Kidsilk Haze with a more traditional yarn like Rowan Felted Tweed gives it a whole new feel of fuzzy warmth! With such a huge color range to mix and match, what will you do with Kidsilk Haze?

I used this yarn along with Malabrigo Rios. I knitted my hat with the 2 strands held together as one. I love the result. It gave the fabric a beautiful soft texture. It was very easy to work with the 2 strands together. It didn’t change the gauge since the kidsilk is so fine.

Kidsilk haze is an excellent mohair silk choice. It’s a go-to if they have a color I’m seeking (which they usually do!).

I like this yarn when I’m knitting with mohair. The color selection is pretty good.

The yarn is wonderfully soft. However, it is very fine. I can no longer knit on needles smaller than a 7, so I am knitting with two strands. This makes using #8 needles workable. However, the yarn tends to tangle a bit, so it was quite difficult to cast on. Now that I am just knitting straight (no complicated pattern), it is working well and looks lovely.
