KSH is my go to yarn too hold together with a lace weight or fingering weight yarn to add halo and warmth. Although it’s expensive, I keep a stash on hand for luxury shawl projects. Lovely yarn.

The yarn is wonderfully soft. However, it is very fine. I can no longer knit on needles smaller than a 7, so I am knitting with two strands. This makes using #8 needles workable. However, the yarn tends to tangle a bit, so it was quite difficult to cast on. Now that I am just knitting straight (no complicated pattern), it is working well and looks lovely.
It’s like knitting with hairy thread & difficult to rip out, but it’s beautiful made up & so soft
I like this yarn when I’m knitting with mohair. The color selection is pretty good.
It is lovely, but somewhat difficult to work with because it is so fine. I made a mobius scarf that is great.
I used a skein of this yarn with one of a thin, smooth worsted wool - and by worsted I mean the spinning method - and I knitted them together. The resultant fabric was both smooth and with a perfect halo! On top of that, the Mission was quite easy to work with, which I didn't expect.
Using this to knit a lacy scarf. It is beautiful yarn and color. Suggest using needles (or circular) that is not metal or the yarn would slide on as it is hard to keep on the needle -- so one with a bit more "grab" on the yarn is easier to work with.
I love Rowan’s Kid Silk Haze Mohair yarn! This will be the third shawl I’ve made with this yarn. Can’t say enough wonderful things about it…..its lightweight nature and warmth can’t be beat! And the color selection is fantastic. My only regret is the closure of so many local yarn shops. I love Webs but it’s a 2 & 1/2 hour ride away and it’s so important to be able to see & feel yarn products. I did request a sample card of the Kid silk haze but I guess they aren’t available.
I was working with a Shetland fingerling yarn that was a little on the rough side ; not pleasant to work with and I dreaded to think how ending scarf would feel. I decided to start over thinking I could work with the Shetland if I paired it with a softer yarn. The Rowan Kidsilk Haze looked promising - found the perfect color match with Trance. It has made a world difference! I have enjoyed knitting with this doubled with the fingerling. It seems fine and wispy but it is strong and easy to work...
The kidsilk is a wonderful yarn. I will enjoy working with it once I finish my current project. The staff at Webs were very communicative and helpful. I highly recommend them.
