Knitting Techniques

This pattern employs advanced lace knitting techniques throughout the main shawl construction. The design features intricate decreases and yarn-forward stitches that create openwork patterns characteristic of lace shawls. The shaping is achieved through strategic placement of decreases and increases to form the triangular silhouette.

The pattern incorporates decorative beading as an embellishment technique. Swarovski Violet Selection faceted crystal beads (6mm size) are threaded onto the yarn prior to knitting, with 147 beads total distributed throughout the design. Needles and Hooks: The pattern requires two different needle sizes for construction. A pair of 5mm (US size 8) needles is used for the main lace knitting section. A 3.00mm (US C2/D3) crochet hook is used for the edging, which is worked separately after the main triangular section is complete.
