Schoppel Wolle Zauberball Starke 6 is a heavier-weight version of Zauberball Crazy yarn, with long subtle color repeats. Each ply is dyed in a different color lending a soft marl effect to the yarn. Zauberball Starke 6 works up between a DK and a sport weight (be sure to swatch) and is perfect for thicker socks, shawls, and winter accessories like mittens and gloves.
Note: You will need approximately 300 yards for a basic pair of socks for an average women's size.

I am making socks with this yarn. I like to knit socks during the summer months to avoid sitting under yards and yards of yarn. The Zauberball is perfect for socks. A bit heavier than traditional sock yarn, it feels as though you are finished in a blink! This a one that I will definitely buy again.
I like the feel of this yarn, it actually has the nice feeling of a cotton and bamboo blend although it has neither of those fibers in the content. I can't wait to see how the garment makes up.
