Design and Construction

This cowl showcases a sophisticated interplay of pattern elements. Swirling chevron lace motifs in two contrasting colors are strategically interrupted by bands of garter stitch worked in a third color, creating a balanced composition that combines delicate openwork with solid texture. The piece is finished with decorative picot edging on both the cast-on and bind-off edges, adding a refined, handcrafted detail that frames the entire accessory. The construction begins with a picot cast-on, transitions through garter stitch sections, incorporates the main lace pattern worked in the round, and concludes with a picot bind-off.

Stitches and Techniques Used
