The Sheep Cut Out Turkish Spindle from Snyder Spindles weighs between 1.3 -1.4 oz (38-41g). It's handmade from walnut with a birch shaft, the arms measure 5" and the shaft is 8". This spindle features 2 hand-cut sheep! The shaft has a small finial at the top to hold the half hitch.
Turkish spindles have the unique advantage of creating a cop that doubles as a center-pull ball or plying ball! The shaft and arms slide out of place once you’ve finished spinning, leaving both ends of your singles free.
