String Joan Hat & Cowl is a chic set that knits up quickly, making it perfect for gifting. The cowl is knit in the round, and the hat can be worked either flat and seamed or seamlessly in the round. Use the three colors of Geneva shown or choose your favorite color combo!

Yarn Requirements: String GENEVA 90% cashmere/10% lambswool (1.75oz/50g; 156yds/143m) -
- 1 ball in color 517089 Graphite (A)
- 1 ball in color 517188 Lilac (B)
- 1 ball in color 517092 Pearl (C)
Note: 1 ball of each color makes both the hat and cowl
Needles:
- Size 8 (5mm) circular needle, 1/40cm long for cowl
- size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle, 1/40cm if working hat in the round or straight if working flat
Gauge:
- Hat - 18 sts and 26 rows = 4"/10 cm in K2, P2 Rib, lightly stretched
- Cowl - 15 sts and 26 rows = 4"/10cm in pattern, after blocking
