The sample garment shown is size M with a bust measurement of 39 inches (99 cm) and a length to shoulder of 21½ inches (54.5 cm). The finished sweater is a classic crew-neck style with set-in sleeves and a structured silhouette.

Techniques Used

The Winona Pullover is constructed using a bottom-up building method, meaning the garment is knitted starting from the lower edges and working upward toward the shoulders. The sweater is worked flat on straight needles rather than in the round, with pieces created separately and then seamed together for assembly. The lace pattern is a key design element that runs throughout the body and sleeves of the garment, creating an elegant, textured appearance.

Stitches Used

The primary stitch pattern featured in the Winona Pullover is the Lilac Leaves Pattern, a lace motif that repeats over a multiple of 12 stitches plus 1. This pattern incorporates several fundamental lace techniques:
