Swans Island Swans Island Coat PDF
$8.00 Each
The lovely Swans Island Coat is simple elegance. A ground of stockinette stitch is outlined with generous borders of seed stitch at the cuff, hem and placket edges. A dramatic sweep at the hem tapers to a slender waistline, giving this piece a very feminine fit. The amazing thing about the Swans Island Coat is that, other than two tiny joins at the underarms, there are no seams throughout the entire piece. Graceful decreases at the sides and along several dart lines create drape in the skirt. Clever darts worked into the sleeve caps create a gently curved fit through the shoulders. While it appears deceptively simple to the viewer, experienced knitters will appreciate the engineering that makes this piece unique. This coat is knit from the bottom up, with the sleeves joined to the body and worked as one piece from the underarms up.
