What is Being Made

Techniques Used

The Lavina Pullover employs several advanced knitting techniques that contribute to its intermediate difficulty level. The sweater is worked in the round from the neck down, a construction method that minimizes seaming and creates a seamless garment. Smaller needles in size 7 (4.5mm)—including 16-inch and 24-inch circular needles and a set of double-pointed needles—are used for the collar ribbing and other edgings. The recommended gauge is 16 stitches and 23 rows over 4 inches in stockinette stitch using the larger needles. Additional supplies include stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, and a yarn needle for finishing.
