Tapestry is a pictorial weaving technique that can be woven on any type of a loom—even a simple self-constructed frame. This course includes technical considerations as well as many tapestry techniques. You will learn how to weave horizontal, vertical, diagonal, circular, vertical curving and horizontal curving shapes, using a variety of tapestry techniques as you complete three projects which can be made into pillows. Finishing and mounting methods are also presented. This course builds a solid foundation for any further tapestry exploration and is a prerequisite for Tapestry Weaving -- Level II. If you have not woven before, Introduction to Weaving” is helpful. 110 minutes.
