Product Details
The Fibre Company's worsted weight Cumbria was quite popular; Cumbria Fingering is the lighter-weight version of the same wool and mohair blend that's sure to be just as popular. Perfect for accessories and garments, Cumbria Fingering also lends itself to spectacular colorwork.
Note: While there are dye lots listed for these yarns, there can be variances even within dye lots. We strongly recommend that you alternate skeins as you work to give an overall blended appearance.

I bought this yarn in the same color - Buttermere - as the original shawl in a Ravelry pattern. Although the shawl and the color in the Webs site looked gold, the yarn I received is very dull in color and darker. I had planned to make a shawl for a gold challenge, and it is unsuitable. The yarn itself is a good quality and is very soft. If the color wasn't a problem, I think it would make a good garment.
Super soft, stunning colorway.
This is too thick for a fingering or sock weight, in my opinion. Also I found it extremely scratchy and rough. I bought it for a hat that required fingering weight held double and the hat was so scratchy I ended up not giving it to the intended recipient. It's probably my fault for choosing the wrong project for the yarn, but I wouldn't recommend it for next-to-skin wear.
Haven't started the project yet, but I love the color and softness.
