Fibre Company Meadow is a lovely laceweight blend of four unique, luxurious fibers. The unique blend of fibers are spun and then kettle dyed, and the different way the fibers absorb the dye creates a beautiful depth of color with subtle heathered tones. A 2-ply yarn, it is slightly heavier than "typical" laceweight and is perfect for shawls and scarves as well as sweaters.

Love it!

I loved knitting with Meadow! The linen makes this yarn extra special, with a unique drape. Made a lovely wrap with it and couldn't be more pleased!

Recommeded for Kelbourne MKAL 2015

This yarn was recommended for the Kelbourne Wollens MKAL.
So far it is knitting nicely.
When rolling the hank I did find one knot, not pleased with that.

I love the feel, and texture of this yarn. It's perfect for shawls. Love the colors. Beading is a bit of a challenge with this yarn because it unravels, but it's a quick fix.

This yarn is lovely, so soft when blocked. Knits up really quickly for a laceweight yarn too, it's great for fine gauge sweaters as well as all the usual shawls, etc. And the colors are gorgeous.

              Service and delivery comments:

A postscript about my review above. I had received an unevenly dyed skein of Meadow in the Black Adder color way. When I contacted WEBS, they offered to send out a replacement skein right away so I could continue on my project. I received it 2 days later before they had received the return skein! Great customer service. Impressive! Thanks, WEBS!

              Comments about 28.00 Meadow:

I'm making the Twinleaf wrap using Black Adder as MC and Cornflower as CC. I like the natural heathered colors and fibery texture of this yarn. It's unique. I wouldn't say it's a soft yarn though. Zen Garden Silk + is much softer.

One of the skeins of Black Adder had a "stripe" where the dye didn't take evenly at the skein tie. That is disappointing considering this is not cheap yarn. Not sure if I want to use it in my project which is looking good so far.

I test knit a shawl for someone and chose this yarn to make it with. No regrets at all! It knit up beautifully, had wonderful drape, and blocked extremely well. The resulting project is quite lovely and has a very soft handle! A definite shawl choice when considering yarns for lace shawl work!

This is my second time using this yarn. It is so soft, plush, and has a great deal of textural interest--a little tweedy. The colors are yummy, too.
