Toika Closed Bottom Boat Shuttles are made of solid hardwood and are finely finished—they're also lightweight, and are well balanced for an easy throw. These shuttles are 10% lighter than most others on the market. The spring-operated shaft allows for ease in changing bobbins. No rollers.

Please note: Only the Leclerc 4" Styrene Bobbins work with the 8½" boat shuttle. To more easily release the bobbin for this shuttle, use a pen or knitting needle to push the inner rod to the right and out. We recommend the 4" Schacht Bobbin for the 11" shuttle and the 5" Schacht Bobbin for the 13" shuttle.

I love these 11" toika boat shuttles. they have a slim profile and are easy to catch and send back through. I have large hands for a woman, but I think the weight, being lighter than others, is wonderful. The finish and the shape of the nose makes it easy to grasp.
I love this shuttle! It is very light weight and has a low profile which works perfectly with my table loom.
I bought 5 small, 5 large Toika shuttles for our weaving co-op and put them in rotation with our varied collection of other shuttles. They were all put in use in no time and everyone loves them. Lightweight, smooth, work in smaller sheds, pleasant to hold.
