Comments about Toika Threading Hook:

I own a Kromski Rigid Heddle Loom. Recently, I ran into difficulties finding a threading hook that would fit my 12 dent heddle. Upon seeing the other reviews, I purchased this threading hook hoping it would work for my loom. The threading hook is fantastic! It fits easily through the slots and holes in my 12 dent heddle as well as fitting my larger heddles.

The only "con" was that the threading hook handle was very rough when it arrived. However, a little sanding with a light grain sandpaper took care of the issue.
Overall this product has worked great for me, and I would recommend it to anyone who has been having trouble finding a threading hook for their rigid heddle loom.

The tool I've been looking for!

Comments about Toika Threading Hook:

If you've been tearing out your hair trying to find the right threading hook for the 12-dent Kromski rigid heddle's holes...tear no further!

This tool's metal loop works like the old fashioned stamped-aluminum needle threaders that used to come in packages of sewing needles. You poke the loop through the hole, catch up the end of the thread/yarn, and pull the loop back through with the doubled thread/yarn.

The loop fits easily into and through the tiny holes of the finer rigid heddle and smoothly pulls a wide range of yarns back through. The generous length of the loop lets you poke it through from the front and up over the heddle from the back, so you can feed the warp end into it and pull it forward through the hole with less wiggling and fishing than the hook requires, in my opinion.

I was using monofilament loops of the type used to thread dental floss under bridgework. Those work great...but are hard to see and get/keep hold of.

My Kromski threading hook that came with the loom works with the 8- and 10-dent rigid heddles (both slots and holes). But I find it badly machined, the stamped metal catches on various yarns/threads.

I created a threading tool using a loop of twisted pair data cable that worked well for the 12-dent rigid heddle's slots (the plastic sheathing on the twisted pair makes this very smooth). But it wouldn't work for the 12-dent heddle's holes.

I've also used this tool with the coarser heddles. It does the same great job.
