Product Description
Diagonal lines of feathery vines make this tunic really flattering to wear. Plus, pockets! But wearing it is the icing on the cake after lots of fun knitting, with dramatic cable decreases and construction that works the top upward, and the bottom downward, for the best of both worlds. And you’re going to love the charted colorwork, which is designed to eliminate any jogs whatsoever. It uses my own candy-cane stripe method, which, if I do say so myself, is pretty darned clever.
Skills used: Provisional cast-on, stranded knitting, reading charts, cable decreases, short rows, afterthought pockets.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch (single color) using larger needles.
Yarn: Sunday Knits worsted weight yarns. Kits available at sundayknits.
50Or substitute any light worsted weight yarn that works nicely to gauge: Top color: 460 (500, 550, 590, 650) (750, 840, 950, 1070) yds. Bottom color: 430 (470, 510, 550, 600) (690, 760, 860, 960) yds; includes allowance for pockets.
