Traverse

Traverse is a toasty hat for cold days with a subtle, interesting pattern. It is knit in the round using raised slip-stitch to showcase the woolfolk yarn; by working half the stitches in each row and then moving the graduation one stitch at a time, you create a beautiful herringbone effect. The knitted fabric is tight both horizontally and vertically, making a dense, warm, garment. Traverse can be worn slouchy, or you can fold the broad, snug brim back to wear it as a fitted cap.

YARN 2 skeins woolfolk FÅR (100% Ultimate Merino® wool; 142 yds/130m per 50gm skein) or Approx 275 yds/250m worsted weight yarn

• Sizes 8 US/5.0mm and10 US/6mm double-pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
