The Soffio Cashmere yarn (65% Wool 30% Cashmere 5% Nylon) is very soft to the touch and feels incredibly luxurious when knit up. But I would not recommend it for beginner knitters—it is not forgiving if you need to rip out and re-knit, as it sticks to itself like a glued spider web and will become felted very easily. I would say I am an intermediate knitter, and I was trying to add sleeves to a vest without a pattern (not at all smart) and it was incredibly frustrating to wing it and to keep having to try to rip out and reknit. So if you are smarter and more advanced than I am, go for it! You will have a lovely soft sweater or scarf or whatever. (Hand wash only!) If not, choose a different yarn and keep your sanity.
