Tropical Pals

Meet the cheeky duo Pitaya the Toucan and Kiwi the Parrot, who love to cause mischief wherever they go. These tropical birds have a colourful plumage to attract attention and make new friends. This tropical duo follow the same pattern for most pieces, but use different colours to make a parrot and toucan toy. The green parrot has a rainbow head crest, and the blue toucan has a brightly striped beak. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in DK weight yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish. The bird bodies are 11cm tall.
